Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage and Litigation Practice in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex insurance coverage matters with a team of respected practitioners representing diverse insurance carriers.

Duties

• Manage a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Interpret insurance policies and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and disclaimer letters.
• Litigate insurance coverage matters, including handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic advice and regular case updates.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups to develop client-focused solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance coverage litigation experience.
• Experience in professional liability, Directors & Officers (D&O), and/or financial institutions coverage preferred.
• Admission to practice in Illinois required; Indiana admission is a plus.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Illinois.
