Duties:

• Provide legal representation to clients in immigration matters, including family-based petitions, employment-based visas, deportation defense, and asylum applications.
• Conduct consultations with clients to assess their immigration needs and provide legal advice accordingly.
• Prepare and file various immigration applications, petitions, motions, and briefs with government agencies and courts.
• Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including hearings and appeals.
• Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and precedents to support case arguments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, documentation, and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.
• 5-10 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is essential.
• Excellent client communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and understandably.
• Strong writing and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills in evaluating legal options and strategies.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
