Duties

• Perform initial case evaluations and develop case strategies.
• Manage a caseload of 150-250 workers' compensation cases profitably.
• Assign, delegate, and oversee tasks of case managers and support staff.
• Conduct effective discovery to gather necessary evidence for litigation.
• Evaluate medical records and legal reports using AMA Guides to Permanent Disability (5th Edition).
• Draft settlement demands based on case value assessments.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on legal issues.
• Represent clients at depositions, hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings.
• Draft legal documents including settlements, trial briefs, appellate briefs, petitions, and correspondence.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in California Workers' Compensation with experience managing a caseload.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Currently admitted to the State Bar of California.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the State Bar of California.
