Tax Senior - Real Estate Services

Duties: Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, corporations and other flow through entities in the real estate, private equity and emerging business industries. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience. Supervise, train, and review the work of other tax staff on tax engagements and client projects. Prepare the more complex tax returns for clients. Assume tax-planning responsibilities for federal and individual clients, participate in complex tax research projects for clients, and research a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients' tax planning projects. Advise clients on critical issues that impact their financial portfolio and provide solutions. Conduct online tax research using tax preparation tools and tax software programs./ Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS and other tax authorities, and represent clients at any potential tax audits. Keep firm leadership informed on the progress of the engagement as well as any important issues discovered that need resolution. Proactively build and sustain relationships with the clients to provide exceptional client service. Participate in client proposals and new business development opportunities when required. Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm. Remain current on latest tax practices and changes in tax laws.
