Duties

• Manage all aspects of domestic and family law cases, including client consultations, pleadings, discovery, negotiations, and litigation.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Draft motions, petitions, agreements, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and support staff.
• Contribute to firm growth through client relationship management and participation in community or professional outreach.
• Maintain compliance with ethical standards and firm policies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a family law attorney.
• VA Bar License.
• Legal writing, analysis, and drafting skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to different courts in Northern Virginia.

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a family law attorney.
• Jury trial and court experience.
• Prior judicial clerkship experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Virginia Bar License.
