A law firm is seeking a Municipal and School Associate Attorney who will primarily focus on providing legal services to public sector clients. Job Overview:

• Position: Municipal and School Associate Attorney
• Location: Camp Hill, PA
• Type: Full-time

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research to support senior counsel and clients
• Advise clients on laws governing public bodies such as the Right-to-Know Law, Sunshine Act, and Ethics Act
• Represent clients in zoning matters, including variances, special exceptions, and conditional uses
• Assist clients in code and ordinance drafting and enforcement
• Draft documents for collective bargaining, arbitration, and public sector labor practices
• Provide legal counsel on public bidding, and contracting, and prepare and analyze client agreements
• Offer legal assistance in real estate and eminent domain proceedings
• Attend school district, municipal, and public board meetings, and hearings
• Conduct research and provide advice on local tax issues
• Prepare materials and appear in court on matters involving public sector clients
• Advise on First Amendment student rights and special education matters

Requirements:

• License to practice law in Pennsylvania
• Degree from an accredited law school
• 2-5 years of experience working with public sector clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on persuasive messaging
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
• Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork
• Drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal services
• Experience with the iManage document management system is a plus
• Experience filing court documents, electronically preferred
• An active Notary license is desired
