Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits Associate in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience with ERISA and employee benefits, including qualified plans, multiemployer pension plans, health and welfare plans, and ACA compliance. M&A and/or restructuring experience within the employee benefits practice area is preferred.

Duties

• Advise on ERISA and employee benefits matters.
• Assist with qualified plans and multiemployer pension plans.
• Ensure compliance with ACA regulations.
• Support M&A and restructuring activities related to benefits.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in ERISA and employee benefits.
• Experience with M&A and/or restructuring in benefits.
• Background in tax or labor/benefits advising is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Illinois preferred.
