Duties:

• Collaborate with senior trial lawyers on litigation strategy in healthcare-related matters

• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

• Review and analyze medical records and expert materials

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including depositions and conferences

• Conduct legal and factual research, particularly related to healthcare law and medical standards

• Coordinate with medical experts to prepare for the trial

• Draft persuasive legal memoranda and pre-trial motions

• Engage directly with clients to provide updates and guidance

• Participate in all phases of trial preparation and execution

Requirements:

• 2-7 years of litigation experience, specifically within the medical malpractice or healthcare defense space

• Licensed to practice in the state of New York

• Prior experience working directly with healthcare clients is preferred

• Willingness to work hybrid (remote and in-office as needed)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills

• Proven ability to manage caseloads independently

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities

• Confidence and professionalism in client-facing interactions

• Familiarity with litigation support tools and medical record analysis
