Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Madison is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate Attorney with experience in bankruptcy and transactional law. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, research, and analytical skills, along with the ability to handle complex legal issues in these areas. Wisconsin Bar admission is required.

Duties:

• Assist with bankruptcy and transactional law matters, including drafting and reviewing legal documents and agreements.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for bankruptcy and transactional cases.
• Attend client meetings, negotiate terms, and provide legal counsel on bankruptcy and transactional issues.
• Manage case files and ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to develop and implement case strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Experience in bankruptcy and transactional law.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle complex legal issues and work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Wisconsin Bar admission is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of Wisconsin, in good standing.

Skills:
