Job Title: Junior to Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Minneapolis-based law firm seeks a dedicated associate to join its Structured Finance team. The role involves working on complex matters involving derivatives and structured products, including documentation, negotiation, and regulatory matters. Ideal candidates will have a strong grounding in ISDA documentation and be prepared to handle matters related to Dodd-Frank protocols and similar regulatory frameworks. This position is offered in a hybrid work environment with a combination of in-office and remote flexibility.

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate documentation under ISDA Master Agreements (including Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, and Confirmations)

• Provide counsel on over-the-counter derivatives and related regulatory issues

• Conduct legal research and provide analysis related to derivatives and structured finance matters

• Collaborate with team members across departments and offices

• Communicate effectively with clients, legal professionals, and internal business teams

• Maintain responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliverables

• Contribute to strategic discussions and provide business-minded legal solutions

• Participate in meetings and client calls as needed

• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in structured finance and derivatives

• Experience with ISDA documentation and regulatory protocols (e.g., Dodd-Frank)

• Prior exposure to matters handled by top-tier U.S. law firms is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications:

• Active bar license in the state of Minnesota

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing capabilities

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strategic thinker with sound business judgment

• Persuasive and clear communicator
