Duties

• Advise public sector clients on all aspects of public finance, including tax-exempt bonds and project financing

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations related to public finance

• Draft and review bond resolutions, closing documents, and legal opinions

• Analyze laws, regulations, and IRS guidance related to municipal bonds

• Review official statements and offering materials

• Collaborate with municipal advisors, underwriters, and other key stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant bond closings

• Support the broader legal team and public finance clients with strategic guidance

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in public finance transactions

• Prior experience with revenue bond financing and conduit borrowing

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; Minnesota preferred or willingness to obtain admission

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active law license in good standing
