A law firm seeks a Junior Construction Attorney in Atlanta, GA. The firm represents clients in the construction industry, including developers and contractors, in complex disputes and provides strategic legal advice.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements.
• Advise clients on legal risk, compliance issues, and project-specific disputes.
• Assist with claims involving delays, defects, liens, change orders, and payment disputes.
• Participate in litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and strategy memoranda.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case development, trial preparation, and client strategy.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
• 1-3 years of experience in construction law, commercial litigation, or a related practice area.
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional presence and strong client communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with Georgia lien law and bond claims.
• Experience handling construction disputes.
• Exposure to AIA contracts or similar industry-standard agreements.
• Experience with ConsensusDocs is a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia Bar.
