Commercial Counsel, Product
The candidate will work across a spectrum of legal, business, and strategic issues. Draft new template commercial agreements and manage and update existing template agreements and addenda. Work closely with local and global Product, Regulatory, and Compliance teams. Train commercial legal colleagues on negotiations of new commercial agreements. Negotiate commercial agreements. Work with teams, including Sales, Account Management, Credit Risk and Underwriting. Collaborate with our global legal team on strategic initiatives to help us increase the efficacy and efficiency of the legal team. Should have 6-10 years, in good standing, of relevant experience in a law firm, or in-house legal team. An attorney in good standing with the California or New York Bar. Experience drafting and negotiating agreements. Experience at a company, or at a firm supporting a company, with launching new products. Solid people skills, specifically will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and merchants from varying disciplines and cultures. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey advice clearly and synthesize complex issues. Work autonomously and have the ability to thrive in a start-up environment with the ability to work independently and run things like own business. Self-motivated, driven, reliable, adaptable and detail-oriented.
