A nationally operating immigration law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Associate Attorney to lead the preparation and oversight of legal responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs) related to family-based and humanitarian immigration applications. This position plays a key role in quality assurance, legal training, and case strategy, serving as a vital legal resource within a collaborative, high-volume legal environment.
Review and prepare responses to USCIS-issued RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs
Analyze case records to assess legal issues and strategy for successful filings
Provide legal support to non-attorney RFE team members, including handling escalations
Monitor and interpret immigration law trends to ensure up-to-date legal practices
Review and revise drafted responses from staff attorneys and support staff
Conduct onboarding and provide ongoing legal training to RFE legal team members
Audit legal work product for accuracy, quality, and alignment with policy
Offer direct legal advice to clients when needed for complex or escalated cases
Collaborate with internal departments to meet performance, accuracy, and compliance goals
Minimum of 3 years of experience handling family-based and humanitarian immigration cases

U-Visa
T-Visa
Medical Deferred Action
I-130 Petitions
Adjustment of Status
Experience responding to RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs is preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume case environment
Strong understanding of current USCIS adjudication trends and legal frameworks
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active license in good standing with a U.S. state bar
Excellent legal writing and analysis skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Effective in training and mentoring attorneys and legal support staff
Clear and professional communication with both internal teams and clients
Collaborative, team-focused approach
Demonstrated commitment to advocacy and immigrant rights
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Adaptability in response to changing laws and firm processes
