Manager of Growth & Integration
The candidate will manage recruiting initiatives that advance the strategy and managing search firms, candidates and the recruiting process, globally. Participate in building and fostering a culture that is team oriented, collaborative, and committed to professional excellence. Develop and maintain strong relationships with legal search firms; review and negotiate fee proposals and service agreements, and engage recruiters in the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of lateral partner candidates. Manage candidate submissions globally, including reviewing and vetting with Chief and appropriate Business Unit Leader (“BUL”) or designee. Arrange candidate interviews and search firm meetings, including all necessary internal and external (headhunter and candidate) communication. Draft appropriate schedules for each meeting. Liaise with offices and departments globally to ensure smooth meetings – IT services, hospitality, office managers, greeters, etc.. Ensure that Orrick partners are well informed about the candidate they are meeting, including what value the candidate would add to Orrick, why the Orrick platform would be beneficial for the candidate, and additional information that will help us recruit the candidate effectively. Collate interviewer feedback and other supporting documents after each meeting. Work with Chief and Partner Recruiting Team to determine best next steps and overall strategy and process for candidates, globally. Coordinate Lateral Partner Questionnaire (“LPQ”), Professional Responsibility Questionnaire (“PRQ”), and conflicts review between Orrick and the headhunter or candidate. Manage the Sponsor Partner Meetings. Assist Chief in driving the diversity recruiting efforts. Develop collateral material for use in recruiting partners and for referral sources. Monitor current market trends and suggest new methodologies, programs, and practices that support the firm’s hiring objectives and are consistent with firm culture. Oversee work of Partner Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant and participate in their training and development. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience is required.
