Production Manager Jobs

The production manager of the company is the officer who, in effect, oversees and supervises all of the activities going on in the organization. The production manager is responsible for leading or coordinating strategic planning functions related to production. He has the task of overseeing the performance of the sales, marketing, accounting, HR, logistics, operations, and manufacturing departments and allocates work accordingly. He participates in the formulation and implementation of organizational policies, change management, and resources allocation with regards to production. The production manager conducts annual wage scale surveys and ensures that employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines. He sets and monitors organizational profitability targets, reviews financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity.

A production manager position requires expertise in handling operations and in supervising a wide variety of departments. He should at least be a graduate or more preferably a post graduate in business administration with specialization in finance or sales.
