Manager / executive is looking for an executive assistant to help him accomplish more. This would entail helping with his organization, scheduling, projects, and taking tasks off of his plate – both menial and substantive.
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining schedules, assist in overseeing daily business operations, managing contacts, paperwork, and assist in project management.
The candidate would be comfortable around a fast-paced, and sometimes stressful manufacturing environment. He/she would serve a liaison internally and externally for the manager, especially if he is out of the office or traveling. The candidate will be exposed to a wide range of disciplines, including logistics, manufacturing operations, governmental affairs and general business management.
The ideal candidate would have a willingness to learn about the operations of the company, and be a thoughtful, quick learner. Beyond this, they would be:
-Highly intelligent with the ability to see the big picture.
-Be able to deal with an extremely fast-paced, chaotic, and sometimes stressful manufacturing environment
-Reasonable and stable.
-Thorough, with attention to detail.
-Capable of providing his or her own opinions and rationales.
-Capable of receiving and giving constructive criticism.
Skills and Experience required:
-2+ years in an office setting strongly preferred
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Strong typing and transcription skills (45 words per minute at least)
-Strong internet research skills
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook. Access is preferred but not required
-Problem solving skills
-Professional phone manners
-Ability to take direction and ensure follow through
-High school Diploma, though a college degree is strongly preferred.
-Knowledge of social media is preferred.
-Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus, though not necessary.
Location is a seafood manufacturing center in East Boston.
