A law firm seeks an experienced Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Attorney to join their Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in Bismarck, ND. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal matters related to energy projects and possess excellent academic credentials, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate EPC and balance of plant agreements for energy projects.
• Handle equipment supply contracts and long-term service agreements.
• Draft and negotiate subcontracts and vendor agreements within the EPC framework.
• Manage asset management, operations, and maintenance agreements.
• Engage in transactional work related to commercial construction agreements.
• Collaborate with legal teams on project development matters.
• Identify and resolve complex legal issues creatively and strategically.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years of legal experience in EPC and related agreements.
• Experience with renewable energy and power generation sectors.
• Active license to practice law or eligibility to waive into practice in ND.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active law license in good standing.

Skills

• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
