Duties

• Represent clients in criminal matters, including misdemeanors, felonies, DUI/DWI, white-collar crimes, and post-conviction proceedings.
• Draft legal documents, motions, plea agreements, and court filings.
• Conduct legal research and provide sound advice to clients.
• Negotiate plea deals and advocate for clients in court proceedings.
• Manage case files, client communications, and deadlines efficiently.
• Collaborate with paralegals, investigators, and other attorneys to ensure high-quality defense strategies.
• Maintain compliance with all state and local rules of professional conduct.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing criminal law.
• Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex criminal cases, including felonies or white-collar crime.
• Proven track record of favorable client outcomes.
• Trial experience and familiarity with court procedures in Maryland.
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys or paralegals.

Education
