Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm in downtown Sacramento is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney with at least five years of experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who has a keen interest in health law and policy. The ideal candidate should be proficient in legal research, writing, and motion practice, with experience in depositions, hearings, and trials. Health law knowledge will be considered a plus.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload involving litigation matters, with a focus on health law when applicable.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed motions and briefs.
• Handle depositions, hearings, and trials from start to finish.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating strong advocacy and litigation skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop legal strategies and ensure case progress.
• Effectively manage deadlines and multiple legal matters simultaneously.
• Provide regular client updates and legal advice as needed.
• Stay current with developments in health law and policy.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of litigation experience.
• Proficiency in research, legal writing, and law and motion practice.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Health law experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
