Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its Chicago, IL office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation law and will work closely with seasoned attorneys to develop their skills in litigation, case management, and client relations.

Duties

• Conduct substantive legal research and analysis.
• Participate in pre-trials and case management conferences.
• Manage and build a personal caseload.
• Engage in courtroom appearances and arbitration hearings.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Three to five plus years of experience in the legal field.
• Basic or working knowledge of workers' compensation law and hearings.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation, written, and oral communication skills.

Education

• A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Actively licensed in Illinois or Indiana, or the ability to become licensed to practice in Illinois or Indiana.
