Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join the Real Estate and Finance department in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will develop their skills in complex commercial finance transactions across various asset classes and transaction structures. This role involves asset-based lending, real estate finance, equipment leasing, tax credit-based housing projects, and specialty finance transactions. The position also includes workout, restructuring, and enforcement transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate financing, workout, and restructuring documents.
• Review and manage due diligence.
• Manage all aspects of the transaction lifecycle, from origination to closing, and post-closing enforcement.

Requirements

• Currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year.
• Experience in real estate or corporate finance transactional matters in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
• Candidates with excellent academic record given preference.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Nebraska or eligibility for admission within one year.
