Location:

Duties:
Assess new case files to create action plans, litigation budgets, and legal recommendations
Identify and manage pleading requirements, delegating tasks to paralegals as needed
Prepare and respond to discovery requests and manage document production
Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and related legal proceedings
Negotiate settlements and secure client authority
Prepare for trial when necessary, including client preparation and evidence organization
Maintain regular, clear communication with legal assistants, paralegals, and clients
Requirements:
1–5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage tasks independently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to collaborate within a legal team and provide client-centered service
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an openness to learning new legal tech platforms
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina
Skills:
