A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its team in Wilmington, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team dedicated to client advocacy and achieving transformative outcomes. The ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience, particularly in personal injury matters, and will play a key role in driving case strategies, mentoring junior attorneys, and delivering outstanding client service.
Wilmington, North Carolina
Analyze evidence, including medical records and investigative findings, and consult with field experts.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather case information.
Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and other correspondence.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop case strategies and solutions after reviewing plaintiff and defense positions.
Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management meetings as needed.
Resolve cases through mediation, arbitration, and trial to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance as needed.
Participate in marketing initiatives, including podcasts, blogs, and advertising campaigns.
Active member of the North Carolina Bar Association required.
Five (5) or more years of experience in personal injury litigation preferred.
Proficiency in legal writing, research, negotiation, and public speaking.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Experience with Needles Neos Case Management Software is a plus.
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the North Carolina Bar required.
Strong litigation experience, particularly in personal injury matters.
Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and public speaking abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making expertise.
Ability to manage cases efficiently and work collaboratively with a team.
Familiarity with legal case management software, such as Needles Neos.
