A law firm seeks a seasoned Senior Family Law Attorney in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will handle complex family law matters with confidence and strategic insight, guiding clients through challenging situations with compassion and advocacy.

Duties

• Handle hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials with minimal supervision.
• Manage a busy docket while delivering high-quality legal work.
• Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, orders, and judgments.
• Develop case strategies and communicate clearly with clients on expectations and outcomes.
• Oversee division of marital estates, including real property and retirement assets.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Pursue strong results through trial or strategic settlement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of family law experience (preferred).
• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
• Proven success representing both petitioners and respondents in family matters.
• Deep knowledge of Texas Family Code and court procedures.
• Strong drafting, courtroom advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases without dropping details.
• Empathetic, professional, and able to stay calm under pressure.
• A problem-solver who can think creatively and independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
