Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. This position is available in Fort Mitchell, KY, Cincinnati, OH, or remotely. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience and a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. However, candidates with less experience who are team-oriented may also be considered. A license to practice law in Ohio and/or Kentucky is required.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings.
• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs).
• Resolve routine bankruptcy matters.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong keyboard and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
• Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Ohio and/or Kentucky.

Skills

• Proficiency in bankruptcy law and procedures.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
