Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team in Fort Mitchell, KY, or Cincinnati, OH, with remote work options available. The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases, with a strong understanding of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. Candidates with less experience who are team-oriented may also be considered.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings and monitor electronic filings.
• Resolve routine bankruptcy matters.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy and keyboard skills.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
• Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Ohio and/or Kentucky.

Skills

• Proficiency in bankruptcy law and procedures.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
