A law firm seeks a Senior Counsel specializing in Insurance Coverage Litigation to join their Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in handling complex insurance coverage litigation matters, including commercial general liability policies. This role requires a proactive attorney who can independently manage cases and interact with high-level executives of major insurance companies.

Duties

• Develop litigation strategies for insurance coverage disputes and class actions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda.
• Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage advice to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings and mediations.
• Manage document review and all aspects of pretrial to trial.
• Supervise associates and paralegals.
• Maintain client interactions and build client confidence.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in California.
• 10+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation.
• Experience in state and federal courts.
• Excellent academic credentials and solid work history.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California Bar membership.
