A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Litigation Attorney to join its McLean, Virginia office. This opportunity offers seasoned litigators the ability to handle complex transportation matters for a major international client within a flexible, hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing litigation caseloads, advising clients, and contributing to a dynamic and collaborative legal team.

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to transportation laws and regulations

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda

• Represent clients during court appearances, depositions, and mediations

• Negotiate settlements and agreements with a focus on strategic outcomes

• Work collaboratively with attorneys across offices to support a unified team approach

• Develop and deliver case analysis reports to clients, focusing on proactive resolution strategies

Requirements

• 8+ years of general casualty litigation experience

• First and/or second chair trial experience strongly preferred

• Trial experience required

• Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, and regulatory matters preferred

• Familiarity with e-commerce and gig economy-related legal issues is a plus

• Deposition and motion practice experience necessary

• Superior analytical, communication, and technical skills required

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of Virginia
