The role emphasizes strategic planning, customized trust structuring, and nuanced legal document drafting.

Duties:

• Handle comprehensive trust administration matters, including both revocable and irrevocable structures

• Design and implement advanced estate planning strategies tailored to affluent individuals and families

• Draft and review key legal documents such as wills, trusts, and related instruments

• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and fiduciaries to execute estate plans effectively

• Interpret complex tax implications and offer innovative planning solutions

• Guide clients through all phases of estate plan development and implementation

• Monitor changes in state and federal tax laws impacting estate and gift planning

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on estate planning and trust administration

• Demonstrated ability to manage high-level client interactions with discretion and professionalism

• Familiarity with high-net-worth planning strategies and related legal structures

• Strong drafting proficiency and attention to detail in legal documentation

• Admitted to practice law in the State of California

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar

• Additional estate planning or tax-related certifications are a plus

Skills:
