Job Overview: A well-established law firm, located in Irvine, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation team, focusing on plaintiff-side employment law. The firm handles wage and hour class actions and is looking for a dedicated and motivated attorney to assist in the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have civil litigation experience and demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a drive to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Duties:

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception to resolution under the guidance of senior attorneys
• Prepare legal documents including motions, discovery requests, and pleadings
• Conduct depositions and attend court hearings
• Collaborate with the legal team in strategizing case approaches and case management
• Maintain client communication and keep clients informed about case progress
• Analyze case documents, witness testimony, and other relevant information
• Handle pre-trial discovery, including document production, depositions, and expert witness preparation
• Develop effective legal strategies to represent clients’ best interests

Requirements:

• Admitted to the California State Bar
• 2-6 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience with case management software is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with employment law or wage and hour cases is advantageous, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
