A law firm seeks a Life Sciences Patent Litigator in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will engage in high-stakes patent litigation, leveraging scientific expertise to handle complex legal matters.

Duties

• Conduct patent litigation and pre-litigation diligence.
• Develop case strategies and draft pleadings and motions.
• Manage discovery processes and conduct depositions.
• Prepare for trials and handle IPR/PGR proceedings before the PTAB.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Ph.D. in a biological science field.
• Active admission to a State Bar; New York preferred.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO or eligibility.
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple matters.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, immunology, or related field.

Certifications

• Active State Bar admission.
• USPTO registration or eligibility.

Skills

• Ability to translate complex scientific concepts for lay audiences.
• Experience in Hatch-Waxman or BPCIA litigation preferred.
• Industry experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device sectors preferred.
