A law firm in Kansas City is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney with a strong background in matters involving federal government contracts. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional research and writing skills, a demonstrated interest in litigation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. An active Bar license in the state is required, and preference is given to candidates currently practicing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and admitted to practice in Virginia or Maryland.

Job Duties:

• Manage matters related to federal government contracts, including contract compliance counseling, bid protests, claims litigation, and False Claims Act investigations.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
• Collaborate effectively within a legal team and communicate clearly on case strategies.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in federal government contracts, including bid protests, claims litigation, and False Claims Act investigations.
• Demonstrated interest in litigation and government contracts.
• Experience in contract compliance counseling and bid protests.
• Strong understanding of False Claims Act investigations.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar license in the state.
