A law firm is currently seeking an Attorney for their Springfield office, specializing in workers' compensation defense. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation in workers' compensation defense cases. The role requires a thorough understanding of workers' compensation laws, dispute resolution, and effective advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Defend clients in workers' compensation cases through all stages of the legal process.
• Conduct case evaluations, legal research, and analysis to develop effective defense strategies.
• Collaborate with clients, medical experts, and other legal professionals.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and hearings.
• Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license, in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
