A law firm in Waterbury is seeking an Associate Attorney with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, providing client representation, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Review and analyze legal documents.
• Prepare and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist with case management and organization.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed in Connecticut (or seeking admission to the Connecticut Bar).
• Some court experience preferred, ideally in injury or workers compensation cases.
• Fluency in Spanish (speaking and writing) preferred.

Education:

JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Connecticut Bar.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
• Ability to provide effective legal advice and representation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
