Duties

• Take lead on product liability defense matters as part of a growing litigation team

• Independently manage a caseload from initial pleadings through resolution

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and legal memoranda

• Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategies

• Maintain timely communication with clients and provide case status updates

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience

• Prior experience in product liability matters preferred

• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Strong legal judgment and decision-making skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar

Skills

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Strong organizational and case management capabilities

• Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation support systems

• Capable of working independently while also contributing to team efforts

• Experience in legal project management considered a plus
