A law firm seeks a senior associate or senior counsel with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in trust and estates planning to join their Private Client group in Chicago, Illinois. The team specializes in sophisticated estate and tax planning, drafting complex wills and trusts, and estate administration.

Duties

• Assist individuals and families with estate and tax planning techniques.
• Draft complex and bespoke wills and trusts.
• Administer estates and trusts, including tax return preparation.
• Engage in charitable planning and tax planning for business interests.

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in trust and estates planning.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Chapter 14 compliant planning for private equity and hedge fund managers is desirable.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Illinois.
