Duties

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, orders, discovery requests, and memoranda.
• Conduct legal research, prepare responses to written discovery, and participate in depositions.
• Review client materials, analyze cases, and draft evaluation reports.
• Represent clients in mediation, pretrial settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
• Maintain direct communication with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues.
• Handle complex legal matters independently and exercise sound professional judgment.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Illinois.
• Proficiency in LexisNexis and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and legal research skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience handling hearings in both state and federal courts.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
