Job Overview: A prominent law firm specializing in Family Law is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its growing team in Denver, CO. Duties:

• Represent clients in a variety of family law matters including divorce, custody disputes, child and spousal support, and property division.
• Appear in court hearings, depositions, and mediations when necessary.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of their cases and offer timely legal guidance.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure effective case management.
• Stay informed on updates and best practices within the family law field.
• Manage multiple cases concurrently while ensuring attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Family Law.
• Active and in good standing membership with the Colorado State Bar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on legal drafting.
• Proven ability to manage complex family law cases independently.
• Prior litigation experience is preferred, though candidates from other legal practice areas with a desire to transition into family law are encouraged to apply.
• Strong negotiation, mediation, and client-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on case needs.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Colorado State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to case management.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
