Associate Attorney needed for Denver office

Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join its team in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a variety of litigation matters, including commercial, contract/business disputes, wrongful death, premises liability, and personal injury claims. This role offers hands-on experience with every aspect of litigation, from legal strategy to trial. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced professionals while gaining significant exposure to clients and cases.

Location:

• Denver, Colorado

Duties:

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception to resolution
• Develop legal strategies and assist with research, drafting pleadings, and motions
• Oversee discovery and participate in mediations and trials
• Engage in client communication and interface with opposing counsel
• Handle depositions and motions with increasing independence
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and contribute to team efforts

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in a law firm setting
• Experience in legal research, drafting motions, managing discovery, and client interaction
• Prior experience with depositions, arguing motions, and attending mediations preferred
• Trial experience is a plus
• Strong communication and advocacy skills, with a client-focused mindset
• Ability to manage caseload independently while also collaborating within a team
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the Colorado State Bar or a jurisdiction with reciprocity (must meet all eligibility requirements for admission on motion)
