A law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its dynamic and growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Duties:

• Handle a diverse range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, adoption, asset division, and matrimonial agreements.
• Represent clients in contested and uncontested family law cases.
• Manage cases from intake to resolution, including negotiations, settlements, and litigation.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys to help expand the Family Law Practice Group.
• Cultivate client relationships and build a referral network through the firm’s cross-practice collaboration.
• Contribute to business development efforts and actively participate in the growth of the family law practice.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in family law, with a demonstrated ability to independently handle complex family law matters.
• Experience with trial work and negotiations in contested and uncontested family law cases.
• Comfort with handling high-stakes family law issues such as complex property divisions, custody disputes, and asset protection.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas or Louisiana (or eligible for waiver, depending on office location).
• A portable book of business is highly preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas or Louisiana (or eligible to waive in).

Skills:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload from start to finish.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior attorneys and expand the practice area.
• Strong understanding of family law, including divorce, custody disputes, adoption, and asset division.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop and manage client relationships.
