Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of civil litigation defense experience to join its Orlando, FL office. This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex legal matters, interact directly with clients, and collaborate with a high-performing team.

Duties

• Handle cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and argue motions.
• Interview witnesses and experts, and negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and trial documents.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in complex litigation, general liability, commercial litigation, or business litigation preferred.
• Proven experience with case management.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• License to practice law in the state of Florida.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

• Strong legal research skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
