Job Overview

A rapidly growing law firm in downtown Denver is seeking an experienced Senior Business Litigation Attorney to join its team. This full-time role involves managing business and civil litigation cases from pre-litigation analysis through to trial, with a focus on partnership disputes, breach of contract claims, and employment disputes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience and a strong background in business law.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of business and civil litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, client recommendations, and trial
• Manage a caseload independently, with responsibility for developing litigation strategies
• Represent clients in trials, hearings, and arbitrations
• Draft and review legal documents related to business disputes, including contracts, agreements, and other litigation-related documents
• Collaborate with team members on complex cases and provide legal counsel on business-related matters

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business and civil litigation
• In-depth knowledge of trial procedures and the Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Proven first-chair trial and/or arbitration experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in legal research and writing
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the Colorado State Bar

Skills

• Proficiency in handling partnership disputes, breach of contract claims, and employment disputes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong initiative and ability to exercise mature judgment
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
