The position offers strong administrative and legal support, enabling the attorney to focus on strategic advocacy and case development from intake through resolution or trial.

Duties:

• Handle a growing caseload of workers’ compensation claims from inception through resolution

• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal documents

• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation

• Collaborate with support staff for case preparation and client communications

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues in cases

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation

• Contribute to a positive and productive team culture

• Uphold legal ethics and firm values in every aspect of representation

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience handling workers’ compensation cases

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively

• Experience with case management systems is a plus

• Willingness to travel to regional offices as needed

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar
