A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its practice in Southport, CT. This role is ideal for a professional ready to manage complex commercial litigation matters independently, with a focus on healthcare law. Duties

• Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Draft and argue motions in New York and Connecticut state and federal courts.
• Oversee discovery, document review, and case strategy development.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and the firm's broader practice.
• Appear in courts throughout Connecticut, New York City, and Long Island.

Requirements

• 7+ years of substantive litigation experience.
• Strong New York state and federal court experience required; Connecticut experience a plus.
• Experience in healthcare law, managed care, or ERISA preferred but not required.
• Admission to the New York bar required; Connecticut bar admission or eligibility strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with a commitment to high-quality legal work.
• Existing client relationships or interest in business development welcomed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York bar.
• Connecticut bar admission or eligibility preferred.
