A law firm seeks a mid-level International Trade Associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join their practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customs, export controls, economic sanctions, and transport/logistics. A solid understanding of free trade agreements and trade policy is preferred.

Duties

• Advise clients on customs and export control regulations.
• Handle matters related to economic sanctions and shipping logistics.
• Engage in legislative work and government affairs.
• Conduct research and analysis on trade policy.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar.
• Demonstrated interest in trade work.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Independent and self-motivated work ethic.
