Director of Legal

The candidate will be responsible for: Serve as legal advisor to all functions, including sales, marketing, operations, finance, commercial, regulatory, IP and human resources. Interact frequently with colleagues to identify, address and resolve legal matters in a timely manner. Partner with colleagues to draft, review and negotiate legal agreements with employees, clients, vendors, and partners. Support business development related transactions, including strategic relationships. Lead governance program with regard to affiliated entities (e.g., professional corporations) to ensure appropriate structure, reporting and general compliance. Review business materials and practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Develop, implement, review and interpret company policies as needed. Work closely with and manage outside counsel as needed. Monitor national, state and local regulatory issues of importance to the company. Should have 5+ years of experience as a lawyer, which must include significant experience with healthcare companies. Must have experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complicated commercial contracts. Should have experience dealing with the rules and regulations applicable to healthcare companies, including FDA, HIPAA, and data security matters, telemedicine, and fraud and abuse. Must have strong negotiation, communication, administrative and time management skills. Must have Juris Doctor degree with strong academic credentials. Member of a State Bar in good standing essential.
