Job Overview

An established law firm in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group. The role requires a seasoned legal professional with at least five years of relevant experience in handling insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector. This position involves managing a variety of litigation responsibilities, from conducting comprehensive factual investigations to representing clients in high-stakes proceedings. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and a capacity to manage complex caseloads effectively.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and detailed analyses to support ongoing litigation cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with high precision.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
• Manage a dynamic caseload, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and case requirements.
• Collaborate closely with partners on complex litigation matters, contributing to strategic planning.
• Engage in effective and clear communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved.
• Participate in strategy discussions and case planning to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation within the commercial insurance sector.
• Proven experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigation, discovery, and client communication.
• Background in representing clients on insurance coverage matters involving various types of policies, such as general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.

Certifications

• Active admission to the Utah State Bar.
