A respected national law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Complex Litigation Attorney for its Phoenix office. This role is ideal for a litigator with significant experience managing complex cases involving general liability, personal injury, transportation, and/or catastrophic injury. Location

Duties

• Manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial or resolution

• Handle trial preparation, court appearances, mediations, and depositions

• Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client objectives

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Provide timely updates, risk analysis, and litigation counsel to clients

• Advise and collaborate with in-house counsel and corporate clients

• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation teams

• Participate in business development and client engagement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience

• Experience in personal injury, transportation, catastrophic injury, and general liability

• Demonstrated ability to handle cases independently, including motions and depositions

• Proven experience interacting with in-house counsel or corporate clients

• Ability to manage a large caseload and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Arizona

• Good standing with the Arizona State Bar

Skills

• Advanced litigation strategy and case development

• Strong oral advocacy and legal writing

• Proficiency in legal research and courtroom procedures

• Excellent client communication and negotiation skills

• Experience with legal project management is a plus

• First-chair or significant second-chair trial experience preferred
