Job Overview:

A respected law firm with a growing presence in the transportation and insurance defense sector is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its team in Nashville, Tennessee. This full-time position offers the opportunity to handle substantive legal work, including motions, court appearances, depositions, and trial support, within a collaborative and well-established litigation practice.

Location:

• Nashville, TN

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution

• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

• Represent clients in court hearings and pre-trial conferences

• Support trial preparation and assist in trials as needed

• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and co-counsel

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams on strategy and execution

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in transportation, personal injury, or insurance defense

• Proven ability to manage case files independently

• Prior courtroom and deposition experience required

• Familiarity with procedural and substantive rules in Tennessee courts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee

• Must be in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused mindset

• Comfortable handling client communications and court interactions independently
